Actor Kang Ji-seob said he went through a tough time with ruthless comments during the JMS cult controversy.

On the 11th, actor Kang Ji-seob, who was involved in the JMS (Christian Gospel Mission) cult controversy, grants on MBN’s ‘Oh Eun-young Stay.’

On this day, Kang Ji-seob revealed that he accidentally learned about JMS during his college days. He confessed that he felt something strange but continued to attend because there were so many good and pure people.

Kang Ji-seob stated, “I stopped attending since after Covid-19, but when ‘I’m God’ was released, its influence reached me. I thought it wouldn’t matter since it had been a long time since I left. I didn’t think much of it at first.”

Kang Ji-seob also explained the frame that sparked the controversy. He said, “I used to be on a variety program, and that frame was in the room. It was a gift from the group. It turned out to be a picture symbolically related to the founder.”

He continued, “I had placed it in my closet to organize. If I had known the meaning of the frame, I would have disposed of it during the shoot. I was going to throw it away, but since I had to attach a waste label, I left it because of procedural issues,” expressing his feelings of injustice.

He added, “They said, ‘Aren’t you colluding with the founder?’ and all sorts of comments came in. They asked, ‘How many women did you offer to him?’ Hearing that was really hard for me.”
