Marysville, CA – A lawsuit has been filed against the Fellowship of
Friends and Robert Earl Burton by 6 men alleging sexual assault by
Burton, the founder of the religious organization based in Oregon
House, California.
The plaintiffs, represented by Slater Slater Schulman LLP, have come
forward to seek justice and accountability for the alleged acts of
sexual assault they endured while members of the Fellowship of
Friends. The suit alleges that the organization functions as a cult
and that, since 1971, Burton has abused his position of power to
sexually harass, molest, and assault young male members of his
organization.
