Romana Didulo’s bid to move her case out of Swift Current Provincial Court was denied Wednesday, as she sought disclosure on more than 100 items.

Didulo, 51, told the court that travelling to Swift Current is difficult because she is required to remain in Regina under her release conditions. Judge Jacobson denied the request to move proceedings.

Crown prosecutor Curtis Wiebe said Didulo’s disclosure request was the longest he had ever seen.

During her application, Didulo alleged prejudice over not yet having access to her electronic devices. She specifically requested her cellphone and computer, which she said contain evidence relevant to her case.

Jacobson directed her to file a formal request for those items.

Didulo also asked whether Jacobson was a justice or a judge, to which he replied that she could determine that information on her own time. He further urged her to seek legal counsel.

Her preliminary hearing at the Court of King’s Bench remains scheduled for March 2. Following her latest disclosure request, Didulo is now set to reappear in Swift Current Provincial Court on Jan. 14 at 1:30 p.m., pending satisfaction with the disclosure.

Didulo is facing charges of failing to comply with an undertaking condition and intimidation of a justice-system participant.

Didulo, who styles herself the “Queen of Canada,” was arrested along with a group of her followers in September at a former school in Richmound where they were staying. During a search of the school, the RCMP said officers seized 13 imitation firearms, ammunition and a large number of electronics.
