Now, Katurah is a civil rights lawyer for a top firm in the USA, with eight years of experience, but life growing up was tough for the Survivor 45 cast member. The 35-year-old grew up in St. Louis and now lives in New York. She also said she’s “always in survival mode” due to being a black, queer woman.
Katurah Topps is a 35-year-old civil rights lawyer. She is committed to “finding joy, health and healing for myself and my community” and is originally from St. Louis, Missouri.
She works in policy counsel at NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., according to her LinkedIn. Katurah obtained her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015.
The CBS star also went to undergrad at Saint Louis University, where she double majored in Philosophy and French. Katurah Topps signed up for Survivor after rediscovering the series in 2020.
Katurah Topps was part of a religion and cult that she says she “escaped,” which meant she missed years of school. Despite this, she went on to study for a law degree and now works for a top civil rights law firm.
