eligious leaders, whether official or self-proclaimed, within major, historical faiths as well as more obscure sects enjoy prestige, authority, and a certain influence over their followers. Their status, however, does not prevent them from succumbing to the demons that hide within us all.
Motivated by their beliefs or simply pragmatism, the following religious leaders committed crimes involving a wide range of human vices (and offences) from abuse of power to mass murder.
