PHOENIX — The prosecutor who obtained a conviction against Lori Vallow Daybell said in a new court filing that the judge should sentence her to life in prison.

Vallow Daybell is scheduled to be sentenced in Arizona on Friday after she was found guilty in two separate murder conspiracy trials earlier this year.

Prior to that, in 2023, Vallow Daybell was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in Idaho for the deaths of her children, Tylee and JJ, and Tammy Daybell, her current husband’s first wife. She was extradited from Idaho to Arizona to face the additional murder conspiracy charges.

In April 2025, she was convicted of conspiring to kill her former husband, Charles Vallow, who was shot dead in July 2019.

In June 2025, Vallow Daybell was convicted of conspiring to kill her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux.

In a new filing obtained by 12News Monday, Prosecutor Treena Kay wrote that the punishment in Arizona for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder is life in prison with the possibility of release after 25 years.

Kay laid out a series of factors the judge should consider, including the impact on victim’s families in both murder conspiracy cases. Some victims are expected to speak out at her sentencing Friday.
