One Tree Hill’s Bethany Joy Lenz says she had PTSD from ‘sex schedule’ with cult leader’s son

Bethany Joy Lenz is ready to discuss her life as a former member of the Big House Family cult.
On the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, the One Tree Hill alum joined host Alex Cooper to discuss her decade living in the insular Christian community, including her six-year marriage to a figure she describes as the cult leader’s son. Though the actress said the early stages of their relationship were “playful and easy,” she notes that they lacked a true connection.
“We didn’t have a lot in common,” Lenz said of her ex-husband, who she refers to as QB. “There wasn’t a lot of intellectual stimulation. But I had kinda run out of options. Like, I couldn’t date a non-Christian and I couldn’t really date anybody outside of the group… So it just became this sort of arranged situation.”
Soon after tying the knot, the actress realized that the duo were incompatible in more ways than one. While she described herself as having a “crazy sex drive,” Lenz said that she never felt that way about her ex.
