NXIVM sex cult leader Keith Raniere still preying on women from behind bars in sick prison scheme

Keith Raniere, the infamous mastermind behind NXIVM, a self-help organization turned sinister sex cult, continues to shock the public. While locked in a maximum-security prison in Tucson, Arizona, serving a 120-year sentence for heinous crimes including sex trafficking and child exploitation, the manipulative cult leader remains active in attempting to control lives beyond bars.
Raniere’s ability to exploit loyal followers for his disturbing plans has taken a new twist. Reports allege he’s using brainwashed allies to recruit new victims under the guise of correspondence, with one underling encouraging others to communicate with him through a secretive P.O. box.
Raniere’s conviction in 2019 sent shockwaves across the nation, exposing a horrifying trail of psychological abuse, branding, and enslavement disguised as self-help programs. High-profile individuals, including Seagram’s liquor heiress Clare Bronfman and actress Allison Mack, were implicated as accomplices.
Bronfman poured an estimated $150 million into NXIVM’s operations, while Mack acted as Raniere’s right-hand woman, recruiting women into the group and turning them into “slaves” for Raniere’s gratification. Both faced justice—Bronfman received 81 months for her role in the scandal, and Mack served just over two years for racketeering and conspiracy.
Survivors like India Oxenberg, daughter of Dynasty actress Catherine Oxenberg, have bravely shared their stories of escape and recovery. India endured five years in NXIVM before finding freedom with her mother’s help.
Despite the damning verdict and a lifetime behind bars, Raniere continues to manipulate loyalists who remain devoted to his distorted vision. An undercover sting revealed that one of his die-hard supporters encouraged a planted correspondent to “write again” to Raniere, claiming he would respond despite potential prison interference.
Catherine Oxenberg expressed disbelief upon learning of Raniere’s continued attempts to wield influence. “What a loser!” she remarked, incredulous that he couldn’t find a more productive way to occupy his time behind bars.
Adding to the outrage, Raniere has reportedly filed multiple appeals and lawsuits since his incarceration, alleging mistreatment and fearing he might face the same fate as notorious figures like Jeffrey Epstein and Whitey Bulger, who both met violent ends in prison.
