Amother and her two young children have gone missing and are feared to have been ‘coerced’ into traveling to a religious rehab facility.
Martha Unger, 23, and her daughters Haylie Faith Unger, 1, and Madilynn Grace Unger, 2, were last seen on Friday evening. They were reported missing from their home in rural Haskell County shortly before 7pm, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
‘Investigators believe they may have been coerced to travel to Mexico to a religious rehabilitation facility’ with a couple, stated the bureau on Facebook.
The couple have been identified as Corney and Elizabeth Klaasen, in their 50s. They may be driving a black and white Chevy Blazer with a Mexico tag. Corney is described as 6-foot-2 and weighing around 200 pounds, clean shaven and wearing a button-up shirt and jeans. No details were provided for his partner.
Martha is described as 5-foot-6 and weighing about 120 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Her daughters both have blue eyes and blonde hair. The mother was believed to be driving a 2015 white Ford Explorer with a Kansas tag, 301RJY.
Authorities shared a headshot of Martha with her hair pulled back and wearing a plaid shirt. Her daughters were pictures sitting in a grassy field with livestock in the background.
