Tom Evans served as a juror during Lori Vallow’s trial last summer which saw the cult mom and second wife of Daybell convicted of the murders of her children, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan.
Vallow was also convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Tammy Daybell, the former wife of her fifth husband, Chad Daybell.
Daybell’s trial began on April 10, and Evans was allowed by Judge Steven Boyce to sit in the courtroom with other jurors from Vallow’s trial to listen to testimony.
“I just sent him an email and said I would like to attend,” Evans told The U.S. Sun.
“And they were so good to us jurors the whole time.”
Evans described Daybell’s behavior during the trial, saying that he didn’t show much emotion except for one day when he appeared to cry after autopsy photos of his first wife Tammy were shown to the jury.
However, Evans claims that earlier that day, he arrived early to the courtroom and saw Chad sitting at the counsel table scrolling through a laptop.
“His computer that day happened to be faced in a direction where I could see what he was looking at,” Evans explained.
“He was looking at all the pictures of Tammy’s exhumed body. All the pictures that the jury was going to have to see.
