Mothers of children feared to have been ‘abducted’ by the followers of Warren Jeffs’ radical polygamous cult say they have been given renewed hope of finding their loved ones as private investigators chase leads in Utah.

The distraught moms, themselves former members of the cult, have been buoyed by reports of possible sightings around the state.

Sarah Johnson, whose son Salome, 15, has been missing for almost three years, praised the work of private investigators who have been tirelessly working on her case.

The group of Harley Davidson-riding ‘Road Warriors’ are monitoring an active work site in Utah run by the Fundamentalist Latter-day Saints (FLDS), the extreme Mormon offshoot once ruled by Jeffs, can reveal.

Johnson said it was a ‘stronger lead’ than any that had been investigated in the past.
