The cult mom serving three life sentences for killing her children has suffered a humiliating blow in court as she denies accusations she also conspired to murder her husband.

Lori Vallow is representing herself in the high-profile murder trial, and grilled her late husband Charles Vallow’s one-time lover on the stand.

Charles was shot dead by his brother-in-law Alex Cox on July 11, 2019 while visiting his estranged wife and their son, JJ. Months earlier, he told police that Lori had threatened to kill him and ‘lost her mind’ after developing extremist doomsday beliefs.

Prosecutors allege Lori put her brother, Cox, up to the murder in order to cash in on his life insurance policy and start a new life with doomsday prophet Chad Daybell.

The 51-year-old attempted to shame Nancy Jo Hancock when she was on the stand for ‘going on a date with a married man’, but instead was humiliated when the woman delivered a sobering statement.

Asked whether Nancy Jo and Charles spent their ‘entire date talking about me’, she quipped: ‘Don’t flatter yourself, no.’

The no-nonsense witness revealed she and Charles met on a dating app for members of the church of Latter Day Saints and began messaging back and forth ‘a lot.’

By the time they met, they’d exchanged ‘hundreds of texts’ and had conversations which lasted more than three hours.

‘Most men that you date aren’t nearly as kind about their ex and discuss them in more derogatory way,’ she said.

‘I remember how odd, in a good way, that he was not speaking in a derogatory way about Lori.’

But Nancy Jo said Charles had painted a negative picture about his relationship and was under a lot of stress.

He told her he’d changed the beneficiary of his $1million life insurance policy, and Nancy Jo had suggested he tell Lori as she was concerned about her behavior.

The duo went on their first – and only – date on July 10.

The mother-of-five thought the date went very well and reached out to Charles the next day several times, but never heard back.

‘I was puzzled how I had misread what I had thought was a good date that he would not even take the courtesy to reply. I wondered why but just figured that was what his decision was,’ she told jurors.

Lori maintained that Charles was not yet divorced and tried to reiterate that Nancy Jo had been on a date with ‘a married man.’
