The home is where Tammy Daybell, Chad’s first wife, was found dead. Several months later, Chad had remarried Lori Vallow, and shortly after her two children were reported missing. In June of 2020, the two children’s bodies were found on Chad’s property, one buried and one burned.
Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell both faced trial, separately. Vallow was sentenced to life in prison for the deaths of Tammy Daybell, JJ Vallow, and Tylee Ryan.
As for Chad, he faced a trial nearly a year after Vallow, and was sentenced to death for the murder of the three individuals.
During the trial for Chad Daybell, his property was given to his defense attorney, as a method of securing payment. After the trial was completed, the property was listed for sale.
A non-profit, known as SJ Healing Crossroads, bought the property in 2024, and had a part in having the house torn down.
