MONTEVIEW — Police are advising the public that a brother and sister last seen in this East Idaho town may be headed to a Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints group in Utah.
Idaho State Police issued an Amber Alert on Monday afternoon for the youths, identified as 13-year-old Allen Fischer and 15-year-old Rachelle Fischer.
State police said the teens were last seen at 7 p.m. Sunday in Monteview, a small farming town in Jefferson County about 75 miles north of Blackfoot.
The youths were reported missing to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday night. They are believed to be heading to northern Utah, possibly to Trenton or Mendon, authorities said.
The teens are possibly traveling in a gray Honda or Hyundai sedan with Utah license plates. Allen is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds with longer sandy blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
Rachelle is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a green dress.
Elintra Dee Fischer, now 18, was reported missing on Jan. 1, 2023, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said. Elintra is the sister of Allen and Rachelle and has not been located.
It is believed Allen and Rachelle willingly left to return to Utah due to religious beliefs, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
