Prosecutor responds to theory Delphi teens were killed in cult sacrifice

DELPHI, Ind. (WSBT) — The prosecutor in the Delphi double murder case responded to a new theory by the defense for the accused murderer, Richard Allen.
In a 136 page filing, the defense claims Abby Williams and Libby German were killed in a cult sacrifice that had nothing to do with Allen.
The prosecutor calls that claim, “a fanciful defense for social media to devour,” and said it is “colorful, dramatic and highly unprofessional.”
The prosecutor requested Monday to seal all future filings for court review before they are released to the public.
The two teens were killed six years ago on a Delphi hiking trail.
