Jinger Duggar Left the IBLP But Critics Say She Just Traded One Cult for Another

Before Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s kids grew up and got married, there was hope from 19 Kids and Counting fans to “free” Jinger Duggar. For whatever reason, she was seen as someone who didn’t want to follow in the family’s strict religious footsteps. Spoiler alert: she was never a rebel of any kind but she did leave the house to marry a more worldly type of guy. But don’t get too excited yet because her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, is Christian too. And now, people have lots of thoughts about Jinger’s church with her husband.
Both Jinger and Jeremy have spoken out about the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP) which she grew up with. The teachings were made possible by founder Bill Gothard, who later faced controversy over multiple sexual abuse and grooming allegations. Jinger doesn’t follow IBLP anymore, but according to Reddit, her church is just as disturbing and she traded one “cult” for another.
