For as long as she can remember, Bianca Seirra has been addicted to feeling good.

From the moment her parents divorced when she was a teen, the Melbourne woman spent years chasing dopamine — through drugs, sex and even spirituality.

Now in her 30s, she’s finally found a kind of peace, but it’s been a long road to get there.

At school, Bianca began spiralling. “I was struggling to keep up, and my parents were going through their divorce,” she told the Soberly Speaking podcast.

She started smoking weed and skipping classes, taking casual jobs in hospitality before turning to harder drugs by 17, when she began working at a nightclub.

There, she began dating a man 11 years older, who introduced her to ecstasy and cocaine.

When she was kicked out of her home, she couch-surfed between friends and her boyfriend’s place.
