In a significant blow to criminal activity in Plateau State, troops of 3 Division and Operation SAFE HAVEN have arrested a notorious cult leader and several other criminals.

The cult leader, Fidelis Adamu, was taken into custody on March 20, 2025, in Jos South local government area, following an intelligence report that his group, the Jungle Boys, was planning to attack prominent individuals over the ban on illegal mining.

Adamu is currently making useful confessions, and troops are working to track down other members of the cult group. In a separate operation, troops responded to reports of criminal activity in Mangu local government area on March 23, 2025, and arrested Nashak Wilson, a 29-year-old armed with an AK-47 rifle. The troops also recovered 30 rustled cows, which have been returned to their owner.

These successes demonstrate Operation SAFE HAVEN’s commitment to ridding the region of criminal activity and ensuring the safety of citizens. The operation has been active in Plateau State, with previous successes including the arrest of gun runners and the recovery of arms and ammunition.
