‘Run away screaming’: Dad’s religious cult warning after son convicted over Struhs death

The father of one of 14 fringe-church group members convicted over the death of eight-year-old Elizabeth Struhs is speaking out to warn others about the dangers of religious cults.
Lachlan Schoenfisch and his wife Samantha were two of 14 members of Toowoomba fringe-church group “The Saints” who were last week found guilty of the manslaughter of the diabetic girl
She died after her insulin medicine was withheld for six days .
Cameron Schoenfisch told A Current Affair his son’s views and behaviours began to change after cult members and sisters, Acacia and Camelia Stevens convinced Lachlan and Sam, who attended a local church, to come to their home church instead.
Now the Queensland dad wants to warn others about how quickly they can brainwash the unsuspecting.
“Please don’t get involved, run away screaming,” Cameron told A Current Affair.
