Disgraced mummy vlogger Ruby Franke harboured the same obsession with control that drove cult leader Lori Vallow, her newly released diary reveals.
Franke – who vlogged about parenting to 2million YouTube fans, was arrested for six counts of felony child abuse in August 2023 after her 12-year-old son escaped the family home in St. George, Utah, and raced to a neighbour’s house where he reportedly begged for food. The neighbour could be heard dialing 911 in a chilling audio recording as he started crying from the sheer level of malnutrition and abuse he witnessed.
