Why Scientologists played bagpipe music in East Grinstead

Every year, thousands of scientologists from across the globe descend on East Grinstead to attend its annual IAS event (International Association of Scientologists) at the UK headquarters in Saint Hill Manor. It is the biggest fundraising event in the Scientology calendar.
The three-day event took place this year from Friday, October 31 until Sunday, November 2.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the event has attracted protesters.
Protesters chanted and held placards, calling for an end to abuse in the church.
In a bid to drown out protesters, the church played loud bagpipe music on a large speaker.
