Leah Remini painfully remembers late friend, anti-Scientology crusader Mike Rinder, on his birthday: ‘Constant ache’

Over one year after the death of her fellow anti-Scientology crusader, ex-church official, and Emmy-winning Scientology and the Aftermath collaborator Mike Rinder, actress and former Scientologist Leah Remini has opened up about the pain of living life without her longtime friend.
“I wish I could say it’s getting a little easier. It’s not,” Remini wrote Friday in a lengthy, emotional Instagram post shared on what would have been Rinder’s 71st birthday.
“Losing him has left a kind of quiet, constant ache that doesn’t go away. And I think part of it is this… some people come into your life and make you feel truly seen. Not judged, not managed, not conditional — just recognized and loved for exactly who you are,” the King of Queens actress continued. “That was Mike for me.”
