KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian police have arrested hundreds while freeing over 400 children as the country probes child abuse at care homes operated by a religious conglomerate.
With the probe involving the Global Ikhwan Service and Business (GISB) group — controversial for its links to the banned Al-Arqam sect — as many as 335 people have been arrested including religious studies teachers and caregivers.
