Alex Jones’ Watches, Truck, Rental Property Pitched for Auction

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Austin rental property, 16 of his watches, and his Ford truck may hit the auction block soon to help pay off his debts to Sandy Hook victim families under a proposal from a trustee overseeing his bankruptcy estate.
Liquidating the conservative talk show host’s assets at a public auction would be in the best interest of his creditors, trustee Christopher Murray of Jones Murray LLP said in a motion filed Monday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
The proposed sale, which requires court approval, comes as Jones’ bankruptcy has racked up hefty legal expenses and become increasingly complex due to an array of litigation in state and federal courts.
Judge Christopher M. Lopez last month urged attorneys to ensure Jones’ property hits the market by September or October over concerns that the bankruptcy has been lingering since 2022.
Jones’ personal bankruptcy has temporarily protected him against defamation judgments totaling roughly $1.4 billion. Juries have found Jones and his company, Infowars parent Free Speech Systems LLC, financially liable for spreading falsehoods about the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that killed 20 children and six school staff members.
The watches that would go up for sale include brands such as Tudor, Tag Heuer, and Hamilton, according to court records. They’ve previously been appraised at more than $26,000, but are now estimated to bring in $18,000 to $22,000.
The 2017 Ford Expedition King Ranch has about about 125,000 miles on it and is estimated to be worth $10,000 to $15,000.
Jones’ 1,800-square-foot single family rental home is in Austin’s Cherry Creek neighborhood and has been appraised at $444,845, according to court records. It’s estimated to sell at $300,000 to $400,000 because of deferred maintenance issues, the motion said. A long-term tenant at the property has agreed to leave once the property is sold.
The trustee last month sued Jones and his family members, saying they should hand over millions of dollars in cash and other assets that he’s shielded from creditors.
A lawyer for Jones didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Jones is represented by Jordan & Ortiz PC and Broocks Law Firm PLLC. The Chapter 7 trustee is represented by Jones Murray LLP and Porter Hedges LLP.
The case is In re Alexander E. Jones, Bankr. S.D. Tex., No. 22-33553, motion 7/28/25.
