Although cults don’t always act the same way, there’s definitely a pattern among the people who lead them, they’re charming and charismatic, enough to wash people’s minds and manipulate them as they please.
Their followers were just looking for a place to belong and a sense of security that they were made to believe was real. Leaders had them all fooled until it was too late, and then the worst happened.
