You're a horrible parent who shouldn't have guardianship of your children if you deny them a life saving kidney transplant, but on a more important point, you have a horrible government if your parents can't afford a life saving kidney transplant and the government refuses to pay for it. If it's a moral responsibility of the government to care for children whose parents religious obligations require them to opt out of life saving procedures for their children, it should be a moral responsibility of the government to care for children whose parents are unable to provide the money for life saving procedures for their children.

The whole thing about blood transfusion in the 30s, I believe. I think it was under church presidency of Rutherford. I believe the guy liked to drink a lot. Interesting that you indulge in booze as a JW but can get disfellowshiped or excommunicated for smoking tobacco. The JW New World Translation of the Bible is used to support some silly, and dangerous, beliefs.
